My name is Huy Tong, I am a web developer and a golf hobbyist. This is my personal blog which is running Wordpress on the back-end. This site used to run on Symphony but it lacked the out-of-the-box features that I needed to get this site up quickly.

I’ve always been fascinated by computers since I was a child. I begged and pleaded my parents to get me one. It took a while for them to do so but I was hooked once they did. I started designing websites for fun in high school because my friends were doing it and got pretty good at it. I’ve even had a web design job when I was in high school.

I am very well versed in the following programming languages: PHP, Perl, Java, ASP and ASP.NET. I dabble here and there with other programming languages as well but only the ones that interest me such as Python, Ruby on Rails and Erlang. I also design and manage SQL databases but mostly deal with MySQL.

I also follow the trends of Search Engine Optimization closely. I love the competitiveness of today’s SEO market and to get a site high on the big 3 (Google, Yahoo and MSN) excites me. I am currently developing a tool that will help Search Engine Strategists develop and track their sites’ SEO performance.
